As the head of Forensic Art Consulting & Training Services (F.A.C.T.S. Plus), Fernando
Gajate leverages decades of experience to provide specialized forensic art, consultation, and training. His mission is to empower law enforcement and the prosecutorial process with critical visual tools that aid in investigations and bring clarity to complex cases.
With over 31 years of dedicated service as a Captain with the Broward Sheriff's Office, he had the privilege of leading both the Forensic Services Division (encompassing the Crime Scene Unit, Evidence Unit, and Crime Lab) and the Criminal Investigations Division. This extensive background has provided him with a deep understanding of forensic science and criminal justice operations from every angle.
Fernando is an International Association for Identification (I.A.I.) Certified Forensic Artist and a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Facial Imaging Course. His commitment to advancing the field is further demonstrated by his past role as Chair of the Forensic Art Science and Protocol Subcommittee for the I.A.I.
